1 day in Paris

Paris is HUGE. After 10 years in Paris, I continue to discover new places. If you stay only one day in Paris, I mean a full day from 9am to 6pm, and you don’t have a plan, I recommend you to visit 5 places:

  1. Sacré Coeur and Montmartre
  2. Place de la Concorde
  3. Champs Elysées and Arc de Triomphe
  4. Trocadéro and Tour Eiffel
  5. Picnic and walk in Champs de Mars

Sacré Coeur (White Basilica) and Montmartre

  • 9Am Stop at metro station Anvers (Line 2), go to the Café Coucou for your breakfast.
  • 10Am Go to the Place Saint Pierre and Square Louise Michel, go up until Sacré Coeur. Stop at view point then visit the Sacré Coeur.
  • 11:30Am Walk in Montmartre. Go to the Place Du Tertre via Chevalier de la Barre street then Mont-Cenis street. Go down via Calvaire Street, turn to the left on Gabrielle street then go to Drevet street and Vieuville street until Square Jehan Rictus.
  • 12Pm Take a picture of Mur des Je t’aime in Square Jehan Rictus. Then go to the Abbesses Street. Turn to the right to the Houdon Street, go down to Pigalle Metro Station.
  • 12:30Pm The restaurant Bouillon Pigalle is in front of Pigalle Metro Station. The restaurant is very popular, maybe you will have to wait for a few minutes before having a table. It’s one of my favorite restaurant in Paris, there are only French dishes. Enjoy!

Place de la Concorde ( Egyptian obelisk )

2pm Go to the metro Pigalle and stop at the station Concorde (Line 12). Take some picture in Place de La Concorde then walk in the Champs Elysées. During your walk you can see many more monuments as Grand Palais, Petit Palais or Charles de Gaulle Statue. The Champs Elysées is a good place to shop but if you spend too much time you will not be able to visit another place. You can’t do both.

4:30Pm After the visit, go to the Charles De Gaulle metro station (Line 6) and stop at the Trocadéro metro station.

Trocadéro and Eiffel Tower

4:45pm The famous Tower, The Eiffel Tower is just in front of you! I never get bored to see it. Enjoy your photo session!

5:30pm Visit the Eiffel Tower. You have different options : it depends on your time, your age or the season. To go up you can choose the lift or stairs.
